Marketing SMS Program & Opt-In
Program name: FingerLakes Farms LLC — Marketing. This page documents how buyers consent to our marketing SMS program and is publicly viewable without signing in. This program is separate from our transactional SMS program (see /sms for that).
What this program is
FingerLakes Farmssends marketing & promotional SMS to buyers who have explicitly opted in: new product announcements, seasonal availability updates, special offers, and event invitations.
Marketing consent is separately collected from any transactional consent. A buyer can be opted in to transactional messages (orders/deliveries) without opting in to marketing, and vice versa.
How to opt in
Opt-in is an explicit, web-based action. Consent is collected on our public account-creation form at order.ilovenyfarms.com/register, where the buyer can check a separate, unchecked-by-default marketing SMS consent checkbox alongside the full disclosure (reproduced below). The marketing checkbox is independent of the transactional checkbox shown above it — neither implies the other.
- On the registration form, enter your phone number.
- To opt in to marketing SMS, check the marketing & promotional SMS checkbox. The checkbox is unchecked by default; submitting without checking it means no marketing SMS consent is recorded.
- Your marketing consent is recorded with your account, separately from any transactional consent.
- You can manage or withdraw marketing consent at any time from your account settings (the “Marketing & promotional SMS” toggle at /account) or by replying STOP to a marketing message.
The opt-in disclosure you see
The following is the exact marketing consent language displayed next to the marketing SMS checkbox on the public registration form, and above the management toggle in account settings:

This is separate from any transactional messages about my orders. Msg frequency varies (approx 2–8/month). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. You can manage or turn this off anytime in your account settings.
Default state: unchecked. No marketing consent is recorded unless you check this box, independent of the transactional consent checkbox.
Message frequency
Recurring, and varies with seasons and promotions. Typical opted-in buyers receive approximately 2 to 8 marketing messages per month.

How to opt out
You can stop marketing messages at any time, two ways:
- Reply STOP to any marketing message from us. This is handled automatically by our messaging provider and immediately stops all further marketing SMS to that number.
- Turn the “Marketing & promotional SMS” toggle off at /account.
Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages about your orders. To stop transactional messages too, use the transactional toggle on the same page.
Privacy
Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent data are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This clause is also stated verbatim in our Privacy Policy. Sign-in one-time passcodes are delivered through Twilio Verify and are not part of this messaging program.
