SMS Program & Opt-In
Program name: FingerLakes Farms LLC. This page documents how buyers consent to our transactional SMS program and is publicly viewable without signing in.
What this program is
FingerLakes Farms is a B2B wholesale food distributor in Upstate New York. We send transactional SMS only to business buyers about their own orders: order confirmations, delivery status updates, and standing-order ready notifications.
No marketing. We do not send marketing, promotional, or sales texts on this program, and we do not use your phone number for marketing purposes.
How to opt in
Opt-in is an explicit, web-based action. Consent is collected on our public account-creation form at order.ilovenyfarms.com/register, where the phone number is entered alongside an unchecked SMS consent checkbox and the full disclosure (reproduced below). No SMS is sent to any number unless that box is checked.
- On the registration form, enter your phone number and review the SMS disclosure shown next to the consent checkbox.
- Check the box to consent, then submit. The checkbox is unchecked by default; submitting without checking it means no SMS consent is recorded.
- Your consent is recorded with your account. Once your account is set up for ordering, transactional messages described above can be sent to that number.
- You can manage or withdraw consent at any time from your account settings (the “Transactional SMS” toggle at /account) or by replying STOP.
The opt-in disclosure you see
The following is the exact consent language displayed next to the SMS consent checkbox on the public registration form, and above the management toggle in account settings:

We do not send marketing or promotional texts. Msg frequency varies (approx 1–20/month). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Default state: unchecked. No SMS consent is recorded unless you check this box.
Message frequency
Recurring, and varies with your ordering activity. Typical active accounts receive approximately 1 to 20 messages per month.

How to opt out
You can stop messages at any time, two ways:
- Reply STOP to any message from us. This is handled automatically by our messaging provider and immediately stops all further SMS to that number.
- Turn the “Transactional SMS” toggle off at /account.
Privacy
Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent data are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This clause is also stated verbatim in our Privacy Policy. Sign-in one-time passcodes are delivered through Twilio Verify and are not part of this messaging program.
